A Word From Our Founders

Dear Friends,

We founded this company with a simple concept: travel for a cause. We’re incredibly proud of the fact that 12 years later we’ve taken thousands of people on trips at home and abroad, discovering new places, new people and often discovering a whole lot more about themselves. But at this time, we’re confronting one of the greatest challenges we’ve ever faced, with increased uncertainty around freedom of movement and the very real prospect of international travel being restricted for some time.

We just wanted to let you all know that in these worrying times, we’re thinking of you -  our suppliers, our charity partners and of course our challenge participants (whether you’ve already booked with us or you’re thinking of booking with us). It is in times like these that the best outcomes are achieved by working together and we will be doing everything we can to minimise the impact that COVID-19 restrictions have on all of you.

Where it is safe and responsible to do so, we will continue to run trips this summer: we understand that for our ground operators, many of whom are small organisations in developing countries with whom we have enjoyed great working partnerships over a number of years, our bookings are vital. We also understand that our charity partners rely on the fundraising income made possible by Choose a Challenge trips to fund their amazing work. 

We will of course rely on advice from governments and from other authorities when we make the decision about whether or not trips can go ahead.

To protect our staff and their loved ones, we have implemented home working for everyone in the team at Choose a Challenge and our offices will remain closed until further notice. Thanks to the wonders of modern technology though, we are still all very much online and you can reach us on our office number during the usual hours. If you do have an enquiry however, we would encourage you to use our usual email address to get in touch where possible, as this will allow us to prioritise the most urgent enquiries and provide a better service.

In the meantime we hope you and your loved ones stay safe and healthy and we will continue to update you in the weeks ahead.
