You will be required to pay the registration fee of £490 at the time of booking, which you're welcome to split into two payments of £245 (incurs £25 admin fee). The final balance payment is £3,200 which is due 10 weeks prior to your departure.
When taking on a challenge with us, you can rest assured that all of the money you fundraise throughout the year will go directly to the charity you are supporting.
Once you hit that all-important fundraising target and your place on the challenge is confirmed, the charity will use this money to cover the remaining costs of your challenge (which will never exceed 50% of your fundraising target).
The remainder of your fundraising (never less than 50% of your fundraising target) will stay with your charity, as a donation to their vital work. In addition, 100% of any Gift Aid and every single pound that you raise above your target will stay with your charity.

You will be required to pay the registration fee of £490 at the time of booking, and you'll then need to raise a minimum sponsorship amount of £6,400 for your nominated charity, which usually needs to be raised in full by 8 weeks prior to your departure.

FLEXI FUND
Regisration fee:
£490
Flexi payment:
£195 or £395
Fundraise:
£6,010 or £5,610

You will be required to pay the registration fee of £490 at the time of booking, and then you will make a further contribution of either £195 or £395 to your trip costs, due 10 weeks before departure. You will also have a minimum fundraising target.
The benefit of the Flexi Fund option is that it gives you the best of both of the other funding options: your contribution toward your trip costs will decrease the minimum fundraising amount you need to raise. The more you contribute with your Flexi Fund payment, the greater the discount on your fundraising target:
- If you opt for the £195 Flexi Fund amount then your fundraising target will be £6,010.
- If you opt for the £395 Flexi Fund amount then your fundraising target will be £5,610.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO:
Is this challenge safe?
All of our challenge events involve an element of risk (that’s part of what makes them challenging!) but we work closely with our partners in Pakistan to ensure that your trip is memorable for all the right reasons. We risk assess all our trips and we comply to the BS8848 British Standard of trekking.
What will the weather be like?
Weather in the Karakoram can be very changeable due to the nature of the surrounding terrain. When it does rain, it can be heavy and last for several hours. As you reach K2 Base Camp itself, the altitude leads to a sharp drop in temperatures, particularly at night.
Our full challenge briefing pack (which you will receive upon sign-up) will give you a full description of the weather and climate. Please bear in mind that whether you will be able to make an attempt on the Gondogoro La crossing is very contingent on the weather and this is something we cannot control!
Who will be looking after us in Pakistan?
We use only the best English speaking guides who have years of experience of guiding our participants. They will not only be there to ensure that you are healthy, safe and well looked after, they’ll also be more than happy to give you a real insight into the culture and traditions of Pakistan.
Do I have to speak Urdu to enjoy this trip?
No! Pakistan is a linguistically diverse country with multiple languages in use - but all our staff in Pakistan speak English and you’ll find that, whilst learning a few local words is greatly appreciated and very useful, English will be spoken fairly widely.
