Choose a Challenge Photography Competition

Back in December we launched our Choose a Challenge Photography Competition, giving our followers and past participants a chance to win a FREE place on our UK Three Peaks Challenge. We wanted our explorers to take time over the festive period to get outside and enjoy the beautiful English countryside, and went on the hunt for our very own Choose a Challenge Landscape Photographer embarking on their own UK adventures, taking photos along the way for their chance to win this incredible prize!

We were overwhelmed by the number of amazing entries and found it hard to choose just one winner, but in the end we decided on our worthy winner, Cas, who took this epic snap on Lundy Island:

“I spent a weekend on Lundy Island and the scenery is magical - I thought I would try out a lensball!” Caz

We were thrilled with the level of entries and wanted to share some of the amazing photographs sent in, so here is our incredible shortlist and our competition runners-up:

“This was taken in the Peak District. I wanted to make the most out of the sun as I realised I am affected by the seasonal change. I wanted to capture hope and an epic landscape that can be found locally as I was missing the sun and didn’t have the luxury to jet anywhere. I was reflecting on the quote: ‘I cheer for people. I was raised to believe there’s enough sun for everyone’” Linh

“This is a photo of the sunset, just before I walked up Roseberry Topping in the North York Moors. Sometimes it benefits to shoot into the sun, because you can create images like this one which I am proud of. North York Moors at sunset is an incredible sight!” Greg Childs

“After days of rain with views of nothing but mist, I was rewarded with glorious blue skies. As I began trekking the famed Hooker Valley Track, I was stunned by the vista of Aoraki, with its snow capped summit framed by two neighbouring peaks with the Hooker river's cascade of pristine glacial water in the foreground. A true reward after days of disappointment!” Henry Lewis

“My love for the outdoors in general. Mountains walking/hiking/climbing is my zen. Mountain biking gives me the fitness to push my self when I'm scrambling up a mountain.

This picture (took on my phone) was on a cold December evening up Cannock Chase. At the top of lower cliff mtb trails. High times. High places. Smiley faces 😋” Abigail Matthews

And lastly, here are our wonderful finalists! Thank you so much to everyone who entered - we can’t wait for the next competition!
