ABTA is the UK’s largest travel association, representing both travel agents and tour operators that sell over £37 billion worth of holidays and other travel arrangements each year.

ABTA accredited tour operators such as ourselves abide by the ABTA Code of Conduct, which governs areas such as accurate advertising, fair terms of trading, changes to bookings and managing customer complaints.

The ABTA membership number for RW Travel and Events Ltd (of which Choose a Challenge is a trading name) is Y6303.

As well as accrediting our operations and holding us to the highest industry standards, ATBA also provide expert help and advice for travellers, working with the Foreign & Commonwealth Office and with destinations all over the world to provide around-the-clock expert advice in a crisis.

What does our ABTA Membership mean?

As an active and engaged ABTA Member, all of our operations fall under the ABTA Code of Conduct, the industry-standard for best practice within the travel industry. We also base many of our policies on ABTA guidelines, including on important topics like animal welfare and sustainability.

As an attendee at ABTA’s Animal Welfare Working Group, we’ve got our ear to the ground on all animal welfare issues the world over, meaning we’re literally at the table helping to report animal welfare issues and enforce positive change within the industry.

Financial protection

If you’re booking a challenge ‘with flights’ through Choose a Challenge, your money is protected by the Civil Aviation Authority’s ATOL scheme. However, if you’re booked on a trip ‘without flights’ through us, your money will be protected by ABTA’s bonding scheme. Either way, you know that when you travel with us, your money is in safe hands.
